Social Identity and Education: Stories of Hong Kong (Potential) Migrants

To be presented at The 2026 Taiwan Education Research Association (TERA) Conference and The World Education Research Association (WERA) Focal Meeting, 2026

Using the method of story completion, this study demonstrates how Hong Kong migrants leverage education in the host society to uphold pro-democracy identities while simultaneously navigating cultural friction, discrimination, and identity renegotiation.

Examining Migrants’ Sensitive and Unheard Experiences in Contentious Times through Digital Story Completion

To be presented at CESSMIR Conference 2026, 2026

This study demonstrates how digital story completion serves as an ethically responsive, decolonially attuned method for migrants to safely voice politically sensitive and silenced experiences that conventional qualitative research often fails to capture.

Analysing Data Paradigms in K-12 Data Science Activities: A Systematic Literature Review

Presented at Proceedings of the 20th WiPSCE Conference on Primary and Secondary Computing Education (WiPSCE '26), 2026

Based on a systematic review of 84 papers, this study proposes four paradigms of AI and ML education, revealing that current student activities focus primarily on data collection and processing rather than underlying algorithms or transparent, knowledge-based reasoning models.
